
Take a break from paper-writing and spend some time being creative in nature. In partnership with EHUM, Professor Kelly Harrington will be offering a nature drawing workshop on the afternoon of Friday, April 11th. After receiving some expert instruction from Prof. Harrington, we will spend the afternoon sketching natural subjects (animals and/or flowers) at St. Mary's Lake. All supplies will be provided. Kelly Harrington is a College of Science Advisor who works primarily with students majoring in Biological and Environmental Sciences. She received her B.F.A. in Studio Art from Saint Mary’s College and a Master’s of Science in Art Education from Indiana University. Harrington has enjoyed a long career teaching in both public and private institutions including art history, studio and art education pedagogy. She has special interest in utilizing art and creativity in her advising and teaching practice as well as the intersection of art and science.
